Are you Polish or Lithuanian and know or care for someone living with Dementia? Your experience matters and Europia would like to hear from you throughout September and October 2020.
Dementia is a syndrome that affects your memory, thinking, comprehension, language and judgement. It is very common with more than 850,000 people in the UK living with dementia.
Europia has identified that Polish and Lithuanian communities in the UK are getting less access to existing support and social care due to lack of awareness about the illness and talking about dementia.
Can you or someone you know clearly remember what was happening a day or week ago, and recall facts from the conversations, dates and meetings without any struggle? Do you feel low or have difficulty concentrating? Can you observe any of these symptoms in yourself or someone you know, your close friends or family members? These and many others may be the signs of dementia and this is not just a natural part of ageing.
If you are Polish or Lithuanian and think you are living with dementia or know or care for someone with signs of the illness or want to know more, Europia want to hear from you now.
