Mobilise! Exploring the power of stories to inspire political and civic engagement

15 Oct 2020 - 14:14 by michelle.foster

mobiliseMobilise! wants to enable active citizenship and increase people's confidence about engaging in political and civic life. It is a partnership between Global Link, a development education charity who work with asylum seekers and refugees in Lancashire, and the team at Lancaster University.

The project will explore historical and contemporary stories of activism collected by two Heritage Funded projects, Documenting Dissent and Remembering Resistance to create online resources and activities about active citizenship. To do this they're going to work with volunteers and local communities of asylum seekers and refugees, so everyone involved feels more confident about participating in political and community life.

You are invited to attend the launch of the Mobilise! Course on Active Citizenship on Tuesday 27 October, 4pm-5pm. The event will take place on Zoom.

Join to celebrate the fantastic work of the Mobilise project, a partnership between Global Link and Lancaster University, designed to enable active citizenship and increase people's confidence about engaging in political and civic life. At the event, the online resources will be available for the first time.
