Inspire 2022 is a youth-led, events-based social action programme which uses national events as a springboard for young people to design positive activities for their own communities, bridging community divides an giving young people a voice in a year of national celebration.
Programme outcomes:
- To empower young people to organise event-based social action activities for their communities
- To build community pride and help bridge and generational divide in communities
- To give young people agency to design events that feel relevant to them and their communities
- To challenge and change any negative perceptions of youth that may have formed during the pandemic
Young people receive support, mentoring and guidance to produce a pitch for their project which is delivered to a board (made up of 50% young people) where they can apply for up to £5,000 funding to see their dream come to life.
Need extra support:
- There is an access fund available if young people are experiencing any barriers to participation
- There are workshops in partnership with local businesses, community groups, etc. available
- Access to learning resources can be provided as well as a digital hub to connect, learn, and access the funding
