National Citizen Service announces new programme for 2023

The National Citizen Service (NCS) is transforming its programme for young people with a new choice of residential, community-based, and digital experiences, focused on three outcomes: young peopleemployability, independent living and social action.

The services will be delivered by a new network of partners to ensure that they are even more relevant and accessible for young people, particularly to those most in need, whilst ensuring better value for money to taxpayers. NCS will award grants to local organisations to deliver community-based experiences, and applications are expected to open in early 2023.

The new NCS programme will play a crucial role in delivering the National Youth Guarantee – the Government’s commitment that, by 2025, every young person will have access to regular out of school activities, adventures away from home and opportunities to volunteer.
