The End Child Poverty Coalition works alongside 10 Youth Ambassadors. They have been working hard to both influence the work of the Coalition and develop their own campaign on issues of importance for young people who have experienced poverty. This has included researching, writing and publishing this report of the cost of living crisis: https://endchildpoverty.org.uk/skint/.
The End Child Poverty Coalition are looking to recruit at least another 5 Ambassadors. These young people need to be between 16 and 25 years old, they don’t need to have experience of growing up in a low income family – but young people who have are encouraged to apply.
Come and join the 10 existing Ambassadors, and help to campaign to end child poverty. No previous experience needed. Being an Ambassador can include:
- Meeting MPs
- Speaking at events
- Helping to develop a youth focused campaign
- Writing blogs for the website
- Speaking to the media (training will be provided, and there is no need to do this if you don’t want to)
Ambassadors need to commit to the role for a year, and will be paid for their time and effort (with the exception of media interviews, which aren’t paid for so people don’t feel pressured into doing these).
Deadline: 8 May 2023
