Charities and CICs with an annual income between £25,000 - £500,000 can apply for grants of £75,000. This funding programme is for organisations working with people experiencing inequity because of their race or ethnicity. To be eligible for this programme, your organisation will be led by the communities you serve. Alongside providing immediate crisis support, you will also work with people over the longer term to help them break free from poverty and achieve their potential.
You must meet the following criteria to be considered for funding under the Racial Equity Programme.
- Your organisation will be led by and working for the communities you support. This means that at least 75% of your Directors/Trustees and at least 50% of staff self-identify as belonging to the communities you support.
- People with lived experience (the people that your organisation exists to serve) should be at the centre of designing, developing, and managing the services you provide.
- You will be delivering services that help people to address and strengthen their immediate financial circumstances and then support them to achieve their employment/ career aspirations and ambitions.
- You will be delivering culturally appropriate services that are developed in response to community needs.
