Grants from £100 up to £1,000 are available for VCSE organisations to run activities that will support people from the communities of identity or experience below that may struggle to achieve higher levels of mental wellbeing.
A total of £30,000 is available for between 30 and 40 projects.
The communities the fund want to reach are:
- Carers
- People from communities who have experienced racial inequality
- People living with long term physical or mental health conditions
- People who identify as LGBTQ+
- People experiencing socioeconomic crisis
- Disabled people
- Military veterans
- People who are unemployed
- Socially isolated older people
The fund is also able to provide funding for your organisation to support the mental wellbeing of staff and volunteers in your organisation.
Fundable activities
Applications will be funded that support people to participate in at least two of the Five Ways to Wellbeing. This includes five areas of activity: creating connections, getting active, 'taking notice' - wellbeing, learning new things and 'giving' - taking part in social and community life.
The grants can be used for a variety of purposes which could include; equipment, online solutions, printing, distribution, staff-time and facilitators.
