The British Institute of Human Rights (BIHR) are hosting a free, online event for community and voluntary groups to launch the opening of applications to co-design a human rights solution on 15 August 2023, 10.30am-12pm.
The last human rights awareness-raising workshops were a success and BIHR are excited to be entering the next stage of their three-year Communities Programme, funded by the Baring Foundation.
In this stage, BIHR are offering community groups the chance to co-design a human rights solution with them.
At the event you will:
- Hear about the solutions created by the 2022 community partners. This might inspire your group to think about what human rights solution you could apply to make with BIHR
- Learn a bit about the Human Rights Act from one of BIHR’s Human Rights Officers
- Find out how to apply to co-design a human rights solution with BIHR, starting in September 2023. Whether that's a resource, a training session, a video, or something else entirely.
This event is open to representatives of community groups and voluntary groups across the UK interested in using the Human Rights Act for positive change.
This launch event and the communities programme is aimed at community and voluntary groups.
