Pay and conditions in the GM VCSE sector survey

Research on the GM VCSE Workforce showed that salary is one of the most prominent barriers to recruitment in the sector. Salaries are not representative of the skills and knowledge needed for the role, and record levels of inflation and the ongoing cost-of-living crisis is continuing to put financial pressure on VCSE organisations – it’s no surprise that salary expectations are more crucial to jobseekers than ever.

In response to this research, the GM VCSE Workforce Development Programme (led by 10GM) is gathering information about pay and conditions in Greater Manchester’s VCSE Organisations. This survey will really help us to understand where the sector stands with pay and conditions compared to other sectors, it will help drive improvements, and provide
support for the sector with salary benchmarking.

10GM kindly asks Greater Manchester VCSE organisations to complete this survey.

10GM will evaluate the responses and share a report before the end of June 2024. Please provide your email address at the end of the survey to stay informed about this report.

Complete the survey by 31 May 2024.
