A taster seminar on online misogyny which will discuss the prevalence of and harmful effects of misogyny in online spaces.
The prevalence of and harmful effects of misogyny in online spaces, including social media platforms, gaming communities and in podcasting is on the rise and is getting more media attention by the day. The seminar is designed to help spot how these behaviours create a hostile environment for women and other marginalised genders online.
Join Gina and Kasey as they demonstrate to you the value and impact that this session can bring to your wider teams. Addressing online misogyny and the lack of accountability for those who engage in harmful behaviour can be hard to challenge.
Beyond Equality want to open up a conversation for participants to reflect on how they may come into contact with this discourse in their professional and everyday lives and address how to begin to put a stop to it. Violence against women and girls happens online and in real life. Victims of online misogyny and misogynoir need support, policy and restorative action.
Come and join Beyond Equality to learn about how to better equip your teams to each take responsibility in ending online misogyny together.
