With an estimated 526,000 people in Greater Manchester living with disabilities, and research suggesting 45% face forms of digital exclusion, a new resource has been launched to help disabled people in Greater Manchester get online and access opportunities in the digital world.
Canva is the great free-to-use online graphic design tool which you can use to create great graphics as well as presentations and videos amongst other things.
Learning new digital skills can be daunting and sometimes you may not know where to start. Manchester Adult Education run digital skill workshops and courses which will help to develop your online confidence and skills, whether it’s to use in your everyday life, at work or for your studies.
Open Data Manchester, in collaboration with Greater Manchester Combined Authority, are developing a set of principles for giving the public a say around how automated decision-making systems are used. It is hoped these principles will set widely agreed-on standards for the use of these technologies across the public sector in Greater Manchester.

This free government service for UK organisations performs a range of simple online checks to identify common vulnerabilities in your public-facing IT. All checks are remote, without the need to install software and uses the same kind of publicly available information as cyber criminals use to find easy targets.
