Information for the bulletin is compiled from a number of sources including Grantfinder, GMCVO (Greater Manchester Council for Voluntary Organisations) and direct from funders themselves. It showcases just a few of the hundreds of funding opportunities available for local community, voluntary and faith organisations.
This bulletin is produced by a partnership of local support and development agencies across Greater Manchester.
The Big Lottery is changing the application process for Reaching Communities, to make it easier for groups and communities to apply for National Lottery funding.
In order to do this, there will be a temporary pause on the submission of Reaching Communities applications between Monday 15 January and Monday 2 April. All applications received before 15 January will be processed in the existing manner.
Groups are invited to apply small grants of £250 and £500 to host events to recruit Cancer Champions in February 2018, or extend a planned meeting/event, that recruits new Greater Manchester Cancer Champions.
This can of course be from your business, team or network, as long as individuals are residents of or workers in Greater Manchester.
The funding is open to organisations from across Greater Manchester.

Community groups wishing to run a project within parks / green spaces near to or in Heaton Park are invited to apply for a grant from the Parklife 2017 Community Fund.
One Manchester are looking at ways to support new and growing businesses in the area and have allocated £40,000 to do just that.
If you are a locally based business (or your business helps deliver social benefits to communities), One Manchester are interested in hearing from you.
The Auto Trader Community Fund aims to encourage small, community-based and locally controlled groups that manage themselves, encourage people to get involved as volunteers and who just need a bit of financial help to be able to work with their community in the way they’d like.
The Fund welcomes applications from organisations throughout Greater Manchester with an annual income of less than £50,000.
Local groups needing an extra boost to set up or grow a community business can access support and match funding to launch their share offer, thanks to the Community Shares Booster programme.
Public parks lie at the heart of communities around the world, providing green spaces that welcome everyone. They offer a natural resource and release from the pressures of modern urban life. However, like many publicly provided services, the UK’s public parks are under increasing financial pressure, with limited resources available to adapt to changing circumstances.
Women’s charities can now bid for the latest £15 million round of the Tampon Tax Fund, Minister for Sport and Civil Society Tracey Crouch has announced. The Tampon Tax Fund allocates funds generated from the VAT on sanitary products to projects that improve the lives of disadvantaged women and girls.
The fund is open to charitable, benevolent and philanthropic organisations from across the United Kingdom.
