We are very excited about these our 10th Spirit of Manchester Awards! The Spirit of Manchester Awards 2022 competitive categories are now closed but you can nominate in our open thank you People of Mcr category.
What you need to know
- The description provided when making a nomination will be on put on our website, with very minimal editing (typos etc) and will also be included in our brochure slightly edited down. So the text you submit is the text that will be included - please be aware if you are including personal details.
- You will need to attach a picture with your nomination - or send it to email@example.com at a later date before the Awards.
- All nominations need to be from the City of Manchester (not Greater Manchester).
- You only need one nomination per organisation or individual in a category - it isn't the amount of nominations they get. We would much prefer one as it makes it more difficult to shortlist otherwise as we can only pick one nomination or it's not fair. You can however nominate an organisation or individual under more than one category but please write different nominations for each.
Supporting an Award category
As you can see on a couple of the categories we have supporters. For £400 you can support a category, this greatly appreciated donation will help us to put on the Awards ceremony, buy the trophies etc. You will be invited to present the award (if you want to) and also receive two invites for the evening which will be held at the University's Whitworth Hall, be sent a supporters logo to add to all your publicity and feature in our brochure, on our website and be shared on social media. For more information email firstname.lastname@example.org,uk or see our Supporters page.
Thank you (non-competitive)
This year we will have one thank you category – People of Mcr - where people can say thank you to an individual or group for all they have done over the last year. We will be mentioning these thank yous on the evening of the event, on our website and in our Spirit of Manchester Awards Brochure.
People of Mcr supported by Townhouse lettings
Open to individuals, groups and teams in the city of Manchester who have given their time, energy and skills (or combination of) to support the community over the last year. We want to hear about and celebrate the efforts of volunteers, good neighbours and anyone who has stepped up to help others. We also want to give thanks to those that are inspiring even more people to help others in Manchester during this time.
