AFRUCA invites you to join their forthcoming study group in Manchester to explore intersection of Safeguarding with FGM, faith-based abuse, and the trafficking of Black and ethnic children.

Join AFRUCA for an exclusive, full-day training event, ''Addressing Cultural and Religious Influences in Safeguarding Children in Black and Ethnic communities." This specialist session is tailored towards professionals who work with children and young people.

This study group offers a unique opportunity to explore the intersectionality of culture, religion, and safeguarding practices as part of a small, intimate group of professionals. This event will help to strengthen your approaches to work trans-culturally with children and families.

The session will be facilitated by AFRUCA CEO Debbie Ariyo. Debbie has over 20 years experience working on culture and safeguarding children issues and is one of the UK's noted experts in this area based on her varied work at AFRUCA. Debbie is an experienced trainer, having trained over 2000 professionals in various aspects of culture and safeguarding children. Debbie said: "I would like to ensure participants leave the study group session better enlightened and more strengthened in their capacity to work more successfully with Black and ethnic children".
