Are you worried about the cost of energy bills? Concerned about green spaces in your neighbourhood? Feeling like environmental decisions get made without people like you in the room?
Turn2us are hosting a community conversation, as part of Everyone's Environment: Local, in Greater Manchester for people experiencing financial insecurity — and Turn2us want your honest views on what environmental priorities matter most in your area.
This is not a lecture or a workshop. It's a facilitated group discussion where your lived experience leads the conversation. You'll have the chance to respond to ideas already emerging from local communities, agree or push back on them, and help shape real decisions about environmental action in Greater Manchester.
What to expect:
The session will run from 9.30am-12.30pm. There's no preparation needed, no technical knowledge required, and no wrong answers. Refreshments will be provided, and your travel expenses can be reimbursed.
Participants will receive a voucher for £75 for the in-person session on 13 May from 09:30-12:30.
What you share in this session will directly influence the next phase of the Everyone's Environment programme — a Greater Manchester initiative working to make sure environmental action reflects the people most affected by it.
Who is this for?
This session is open to individuals living in Greater Manchester who are experiencing financial insecurity. You may also identify with other communities — that's welcome too.
