Wythenshawe Community Housing Group (WCHG) invites you to their Garden City Discovery Day Community Connector, a family friendly event celebrating gardening, creativity, and community in Wythenshawe.
This family-friendly Connector will bring together residents, local Community Groups, and organisations to champion community growing, sustainability and local pride.
Join us for a day of woodland management and become a Citizen Forester with City of Trees!
We are carrying out this work to maintain a healthy and sustainable woodland that supports local wildlife and the surrounding community.
All tools will be provided; please wear suitable clothing for outdoor work and sturdy footwear. Drop in for an hour or stay the whole day – you will be guided throughout the day so no prior experience is necessary. This activity is suitable for adults and older children.
This online launch will mark the upcoming publication of How Will the Climate and Nature Crises Impact Women and Girls? – a major new briefing produced jointly by the WEN (Women’s Environmental Network) and NPC’s Everyone’s Environment programme. The session will introduce key findings from the report and explore what they mean for women’s and environmental organisations, funders, policymakers and practitioners across the UK.
Manchester Outdoor Education Trust (MOET) is a charity which aims to increase the opportunities for Children and Young People to access the outdoors and learn through participation in outdoor adventurous activities. We do this by working with delivery partners, youth groups and the education sector and try to influence decision makers. We use funds to support training and develop skills of teachers and youth workers.
