Operation Hydrant is a national policing programme designed to improve the police response to safeguarding children and investigating child sexual abuse. It coordinates intelligence, develops best‑practice guidance, provides learning and review capabilities, increases public and survivor confidence, and supports police forces and partners through national analysis, strategic liaison, and implementation of recommendations such as those from the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse (IICSA).
In just 60 minutes, attendees will:
- Understand exactly what Hydrant offers from operational guidance to specialist support for officers and police staff
- Hear national CSAE investigative good practice and learn about the latest developments in policy and procedures
- Explore real learning from Hydrant’s Peer Review and Peer Support activity across UK forces, so good practice is adopted nationally
- This session gives your team practical insights, national context, and access to tools designed to support frontline and investigative work in the Policing arena
