Join Voice4Change England for an interactive, in-person workshop designed to boost political literacy and empower communities through collective action and active participation in local decision-making.
About the workshop
Political literacy is more than understanding how decisions are made-it’s about knowing who holds power, how to influence it, and how to make your voice count. By engaging in democratic and civic participation, we can build stronger, more resilient communities.
This workshop will explore practical ways to get involved in your community, both during and beyond election cycles. Through group discussions, activities, and real-life examples, you’ll learn:
- How decisions are made at local and national levels
- Who holds power and how to influence decision-makers
- Strategies for effective civic engagement and collective action
- The impact of voting and participation on community resilience
- Ways to stay engaged with democracy year-round
Who should attend
This event is open to anyone interested in strengthening their understanding of democracy and civic participation, especially those from Black and Minoritised Ethnic (BME) communities and underrepresented groups.
Why attend?
- Gain practical knowledge and skills to navigate the political system
- Connect with others who are passionate about community empowerment
