BBC Children in Need Main Grants – deadline 15 Jan 2014

The BBC Children in Need Main Grants programme is open to charities and not-for-profit organisations applying for grants over £10,000 per year for up to three years.

BBC Children in Need give grants for...
Children and young people of 18 years and under experiencing disadvantage through:
1. Illness, distress, abuse or neglect
2. Any kind of disability
3. Behavioural or psychological difficulties
4. Living in poverty or situations of deprivation

Henry Smith Holiday Grants for Children

The purpose of this scheme is to provide children with a recreational holiday or outing they would not otherwise have the opportunity to access. This means that the fund will not fund trips where the primary purpose is education. You must make a clear case for the financial need of the individuals attending as well as the organisation applying.

We Love MCR Charity – apply for a grant

Applications are invited from Manchester based Charities, Organisations and Others to the ‘We Love MCR Charity’ The Lord Mayor of Manchester’s Charity Appeal Trust.

Aims of the Charity
The Charity was set up as a Trust to distribute funds “for Charitable purposes for the general benefit of the inhabitants of the City of Manchester as the Trustees shall think fit”.

The Charity’s primary aim is to improve the lives and life chances of Manchester People.

Manchester Day: ‘Going Global!’ Sunday 22 June 2014 - Call for applications to participate

Now its 5th year Manchester Day 2014 will be even bigger, better and more spectacular! With your help, it’s aimed to transform some of Manchester’s city squares into mega parties of amazing décor, mounthwatering food and drink and vibrant performance as well as another wonderful parade celebrating the city of Manchester and what it means to be Mancunian.

Groundwork is working in partnership with UnLtd, the Foundation for Social Entrepreneurs to raise awareness of the Star People programme in Collyhurst, Manchester.

New Cabinet Office Fund Launched for Vulnerable and Disengaged Young People in England

The Fund is being administered by the Social Investment Businesses on behalf of the Cabinet Office, and aims to help grow ambitious social action programmes in England.

Grants of between £30,000 and £250,000 are available to fund work with young offenders, young people in care or leaving care, and other groups of disengaged and vulnerable young people such as those not in education, employment or training (NEETs) or with special educational needs or disabilities. Projects must serve young people between the ages of 9 and 24, or young offenders aged 10 to 18 years.

Sustainable travel grants

Travel Choices is offering grants to businesses for schemes which encourage employees to make sustainable travel choices.

Whether you want to build bike storage facilities at your premises so staff can cycle to work, put in an electric vehicle charging point or run an event to promote sustainable travel to staff, you can apply for up to £10,000 to make it happen.

Galaxy Hot Chocolate Fund awards

The Galaxy Hot Chocolate Fund is looking to help small, local community based projects and community minded people.

From 4 November 2013 for 16 weeks they are seeking to donate eighty £300 awards to help people or groups with their community programmes.
