Young Manchester is an independent, city wide Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) set up to develop a new way of working to support Youth and Play services for children and young people across Manchester, by working with partner agencies to commission work at a local level. 
GMCASE (Greater Manchester Campaign Against Sexual Exploitation) is a consortium of statutory agencies, not-for-profit organisations, charities and community groups working across the Greater Manchester conurbation, who collectively aim to tackle the issue of sexual exploitation of children and young people.
The DM Thomas Foundation for Young People is committed to helping disadvantaged and vulnerable young people and children. The Foundation does this by supporting positive life-changing and life-enhancing activities that improve their health and education.

The University of Manchester’s annual Making a Difference Awards took place on Wednesday 11 May in the University’s Whitworth Hall.
Over 200 guests attended the event to celebrate the University’s commitment to social responsibility, and recognise staff, students and members of the local community, for their involvement in a plethora of social and environmental initiatives.
This is a new Wythenshawe based peer support project for 16-25 year olds funded through Wythenshawe Safe Spots. This is a challenging opportunity for young people wanting to help their peers build more positive, healthy personal relationships. Wythenshawe Safe Spots are looking for 16 young people, aged 16-25 years old to be part of the first team of peer support workers. 
With almost 40,000 student members, the University of Manchester Students’ Union is a great and a vibrant place to work. The Union is a registered charity and has a vacancy on its Board of Trustees for an External Trustee position. Boundless Books encourages looked after young people to get excited about reading and writing through the giving of a personalised gift. The gift contains a book chosen especially for the participant based on their general interests, a personal letter and a bespoke correspondence pack containing fun stationary, stickers, pens and stamps. Participants are twinned with another participant according to their interests and are encouraged to share their experience of the book using the correspondence pack.
Each year Voluntary Youth Manchester (VYM) evaluates the work they do and the activities, resources and services they offer, and this year VYM want to get your feedback though an online survey. 
Jiaojiao Mo, a postgraduate student undertaking a module in Intercultural Engagement at Manchester University, is assisting in putting this survey together. Her perspective from outside of the sector, indeed outside the country, has given invaluable objectivity.
Manchester City Council are looking to recruit more LAC young people and Care Leavers in engagement activities and Children in Care Council.
Three Open Air Cafés have been organised where young people (over 11 years old) will be able to come and participate in a number of fun activities with refreshments.
