British Red Cross free workshops

The British Red Cross offers free educational workshops to help young people and adults within communities to build resilience and learn vital life skills.

Workshops are available online to face-to-face and include topics such as: First aid, Coping with challenges, and Empathy and migration.

Services – Adult
First Aid
Be ready when it matters most.
Join the interactive, hands-on first aid workshop, led by experienced British Red Cross educators. You’ll learn simple, lifesaving techniques to help in an emergency – using everyday objects around you. Build the knowledge, confidence, and willingness to step in and make a real difference.

Supporting Connections
Do you work or volunteer with people who may be feeling lonely?
This workshop helps you recognise the signs of loneliness and develop practical skills to support others through it. Discover the barriers that can make connection difficult – and how you can help people overcome them.
Please note: this workshop is designed for those in supporting roles.

Coping with Challenges
Life can be full of complex challenges, especially for young people. 
Through group activities, reflection, and discussion, this interactive resilience-building workshop helps young people develop strategies to face challenges with confidence and adaptability.

First Aid
A workshop allowing students to be ready when it matters most.
The interactive, hands-on first aid workshop, led by experienced British Red Cross educators, is also available for those aged 10-19. They’ll learn simple, lifesaving techniques to help in an emergency - using everyday objects around them; building the knowledge, confidence, and willingness to step in and make a real difference.

Empathy Plus Migration
Empathy helps us connect, understand, and build inclusive communities.
This workshop explores real stories of loss, displacement, and resilience, helping young people step into others’ shoes and reflect on the power of compassion.
Please consider your learners’ emotional needs before booking, as this session covers sensitive topics.
