devicesVodafone is offering free connectivity to help not-for-profit organisations tackle digital exclusion
With Vodafone's charities.connected initiative, non-profit organisations in the UK can help the communities they support and modernise their own digital operations, too.

The initiative gives any charity in the UK the opportunity to apply for free connectivity to help the individuals and families it supports get online and improve its own digital capability.

This is part of Vodafone’s recently announced commitment to tackle digital exclusion and connect one million people by the end of 2022.

Registered charities can apply for the free connectivity, in the form of SIM cards with 20GB of data, plus free calls and texts every month for six months.

TalkTalk have launched free broadband for six months for jobseekers
Jobseekers may be able to get six months' worth of free broadband from TalkTalk under a new partnership with the Government and Jobcentre Plus. Following a successful trial, it's now been rolled out nationwide and with no contract, there's no obligation to continue after the six months is up.

You'll be given fibre broadband under the scheme – but the package doesn't include extras, such as calls or TV.

Eligible recipients will get TalkTalk's standard fibre package, which has an average download speed of 38Mbps, which is fast enough for most online activity, although this package won't include any optional extras, such as TV or calls. Even if you find a job within the six months, you can continue to use the free broadband until it expires.

There's also no contract, so if at any point during the six months you want to cancel, you can do so penalty-free.

If you keep the service for the full six months, once this period is up the broadband will be automatically terminated penalty-free – unless you switch elsewhere or request to move on to a different TalkTalk package.

You need to apply for the free broadband via your Jobcentre
