Essential Digital Skills
Essential Digital Skills are more important than ever. Since 2020, we’ve experienced a world where face-to-face communication hasn’t been possible and therefore having a grasp on digital technology and communication is vital to stay connected.
NCFE's Essential Digital Skills qualifications (EDSQ) at Entry Level 3 and Level 1 are funded qualifications mapped to national standards for basic digital literacy. Designed to meet digital knowledge gaps, these qualifications will provide vital skills to many.
The qualifications cover five key topics:
- Using devices and handling information
- Creating and editing
- Communicating
- Transacting
- Being safe and responsible online
Timetable – Monday to Friday 9.30am - 1.30pm.
Placements will be arranged with 4 weeks of starting the project.
All qualifications are accredited by City and Guilds and NCFE from entry level 3 to level 2.
Employability support is provided while on the programme.
Locally-based residents within GM will be given public transport weekly bus pass.
Traineeship has a work placement of 70 hours minimum. Online classes may be available if placements is secured locally.
