Girls Friendly Society Period Peers workshop

The Period Peers programme, delivered by Girls Friendly Society (GFS) in partnership with Plan UK, is part of a three-year initiative funded by Reckitt’s Nurofen See My Pain campaign to tackle the gender pain gap.

It’s a one-hour, peer-led workshop designed to:

  • Bust period stigma and build practical knowledge about managing periods and pain
  • Help girls take part fully in daily life and feel confident seeking help
  • Guide clubs, schools and organisations to become Period Proud Environments

Girls Friendly Society (GFS) are currently looking to deliver Period Peers in more schools and community settings across Manchester.
