NBWL Thrive – group coaching programme led by and for Black women

women's resource centreWomen’s Resource Centre have been awarded the Women Thrive Fund from Rosa to develop a much-requested signature coaching and mentoring program, led by and for Black women as part of their Network for Black Women Leaders (NBWL).

NBWL Thrive
The NBWL Thrive signature program seeks to address the underemployment and under promotion of Black women, by supporting the professional ambitions of NBWL members to take up a more senior role or progress within existing leadership position.

NBWL Thrive will be comprised of:

  • Group coaching
  • Recruiting and training mentors
  • Learning, reflection and development
  • Networking events
  • Co-design groups

The first group coaching session will take place on 22 November and is set to offer the opportunity for NBWL members to take part in five coaching sessions, leveraging knowledge, strategies and experience. Like minded individuals working on a common theme, yet having different personal goals will be supported by a qualified leadership and development coach. The facilitated sessions will develop talents by integrating knowledge of the group, build confidence and share solutions that will enable you to navigate your working environment as a result move towards your leadership goals.  

8 women will receive coaching starting on 22 November 2021.

This opportunity is open to Black women (women of the African diaspora / of African descent) based in the UK who are looking to enhance or develop their confidence and view of leadership.

Expression of interest
Are you looking to enhance or develop your confidence and view of leadership through group coaching? If so, send your Expression of Interest (EOI), no longer than one A4 side to [email protected] by 18 November 2021.
EOI’s will be selected on a first received, first reserved basis.

What to include in your EOI
In one side of an A4 page – explain about yourself; experience/background and express an interest in the possibility of growing within an existing role, or positions you would like to go for, and/or your professional ambitions. Explain what motivates you, and something you are most proud. Explain why it is important to you for programmes to be led by and for Black women.
