In 2023 the Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) commissioned OnEvidence to undertake a scoping and research exercise to support them in Greater Manchester in understanding the prevalence of ‘Honour’-based Abuse, Forced Marriage and Female Genital Mutilation across the Greater Manchester.
This report will guide GMCA’s approaches in terms of priorities and funding decisions going forward particularly in relation to how they can better support victims and to help in their future commissioning decisions. GMCA also feel that the contents of the report have implications for other key agencies across Greater Manchester including the VCFSE and for National bodies and indeed National Government.
The launch will take place on 2nd September, 10am-11am at Cinema 2, HOME, 2 Tony Wilson Place, Manchester, M15 4FN.
