SPARK: Training for creative practitioners to support mental health and wellbeing

The MYRIAD Spark Training programme is a new training programme for creative practitioners from the global majority (people who do not consider themselves or are not considered to be white), who are passionate about using creativity to support communities and people’s mental health and wellbeing.

SPARK is for you, if you:

  • Identify as being part of the global majority
  • You’re a recent graduate or in the first five years of your career
  • You’re interested in working creatively with groups in communities
  • You’d like to develop your skills as a creative workshop leader, in an artform such as dance, music, theatre, visual art or crafts
  • You’re interested in learning more about creative health and how creativity can support people’s health and wellbeing

From September 2024, the Myriad Spark Programme will support 12 global majority creatives through a bespoke, five-day training course in how to develop and use your creative practice to support communities and people’s mental health and wellbeing.

Dates: Mondays: 9, 16, 23, 30 September and 7 October, 10am – 5pm
Graduation event: Monday 14 October, 3-5pm
Location: Factory International, Aviva Studios
Application deadline: 19 August 2024, 10am
