Trustee Vacancy at Reuben’s Retreat

Reuben’s Retreat was born in August 2012 in memory of Reuben Michael Graham. The goal is to provide a retreat in the North West of England where families of children with life limiting or threatening illnesses can relax and recharge, It already serves as a bereavement and counselling support centre, a place to remember and rebuild. After almost 7 years and demonstrating incredible success, Reuben’s Retreat are now at a stage where they are looking to recruit and additional member to the Board of Trustees who can add the following experience to help plan and oversee the continued growth of the charity:
• Compliance / risk management
• Charity / third sector
• Clinical / Health

Trustees are requested to attend 4 meetings a year, usually 7.30pm-9.30pm on a weekday evening at the Retreat in Glossop, Derbyshire, and also the Annual General Meeting.

Trustees are also requested to participate in email-based discussions between meetings and be available to support the activity of the charity at events throughout the year, within reason. Adequate notice is given for planned events and activities.

This is a voluntary role however any expenses (outside of Board meetings) incurred in its delivery will be reimbursed.
