VCSE Reps needed for a Trauma Steering Group

Public Health at Manchester City Council are looking for new VCSE reps for a new Trauma Steering Group that will sit under Making Manchester Fairer.

Manchester has an ambition to be a trauma aware and trauma responsive City. As part of the next phase of this work the Public Health team at Manchester City Council are setting up a trauma steering group that will feed into the Making Manchester Fairer Programme Board.

The trauma steering group will be strategic rather than operational, and provide governance, oversight and coordination to ensure the effective development, delivery and sustainability of the programme.

Duties will include reviewing and advising on the strategic direction of the programme, advocating for trauma responsive practice and identifying priorities, risks and gaps.

It is envisaged that the Group will meet face-to- face, twice a year with a membership drawn from a range of settings across the City.

Remuneration for attendance will be available.

Public Health are seeking two VCSE providers to sit on the Group.
