ESOL resources to support new arrivals – website now live

A new bank of ESOL Resources, aimed at supporting new arrivals, developed in partnership with GMCA and Manchester Adult Education Service (MAES) has now launched.

This online, free to use resource bank, has been designed to support informal, non-accredited ESOL classes across Greater Manchester.

The resources are now live and available for anyone to use, with no login or payment required at https://www.esolwelcome.uk/

The website provides teachers and learners with resources that are user friendly, clearly organised and adaptable to a range of levels. The topics have been designed to specifically meet the needs of refugees and people seeking asylum.

Topics include:

  • Managing universal credit and eVisa accounts
  • Searching for housing
  • Speaking to landlords, employers, schoolteachers etc.
  • Navigating the asylum system
