Date & time: 20 June 2026, 11:00am - 5:00pm
Venue
Alexandra Park, 180 Russell Street, Manchester, M16 7JL

“We Are Here Because the Windrush Generation Was There”

Manchester would not sound, taste or feel the same without the Windrush generation.

This Windrush Day, join Caribbean & African Health Network (CAHN) at Alexandra Park, for a free celebration of Caribbean culture, community and legacy.

From the music that raised us to the stories that shaped us, this is a day to honour the people whose strength and spirit helped shape generations across Greater Manchester.

Expect live performances, cultural displays, artistic exhibitions and a football match bringing the community together. Enjoy Caribbean food, discover local stallholders and connect with organisations and businesses bridging our cultures today.

Families can enjoy a children’s play area designed to help young people connect with their heritage in a fun and meaningful way. You will also have access to free health checks and screenings delivered by Caribbean and African health professionals who understand our communities.

The event will also welcome civic leaders and community voices to the main stage as we reflect and celebrate together.

Bring your family, bring your friends and celebrate Caribbean people in Manchester with us.
