Helping organisations and volunteers to make the most of volunteering opportunities
‘Engaging Volunteers, Changing Lives’ will bring together organisations and volunteers to explore the first phases of the volunteer journey through the European Solidarity Corps - from the selection and recruitment of volunteers before the start of projects to on-placement support and mentoring.
Through workshops and non-formal learning techniques, the seminar will support sharing of knowledge and expertise between newcomers to the funding, more experienced voluntary organisations as well as volunteers.
Over the 1.5 days it will explore:
- Essentials of European Solidarity Corps
- Approaches and considerations for the selection and recruitment of volunteers for ESC projects
- Pre-placement support and on-placement management
- The support available to volunteers with fewer opportunities
- Partnerships, networks and project ideas
The seminar will help you develop a deeper understanding of the European Solidarity Corps volunteering opportunities and support available, striving to ensure the best possible experience for both volunteers and organisations.
This funded activity will be taking place over a day and a half from 2-3rd May 2019.
Places, accommodation, travel and food are funded but limited so register your interest in a place today!
