Already teenagers are faced with a number of issues so having to deal with their emotions doesn’t always come easy for them, likewise having to deal with the loss of a loved one. The effects can be quite devastating for them.
Blossom foundation aim to educate, inspire and empower the BME Black African girls in the age group of 10-20 through their transitional stages of becoming a full-blown adult.
This is so that Blossom foundation can identify issues from an early stage and intervene to make corrections to help them be the best they can be in all life aspects be it social, physical, emotional and economic wellbeing.
With the current situations with Covid-19, Blossom foundation have now introduced a new service and have 7 trained support staff who can provide cultural appropriate bereavement care support.
Although the services are targeted at girls, Blossom foundation also don’t want BME African boys to suffer in silence after experiencing loss, Blossom foundation want young people to know they are here.
