The aim of Living Well is to transform community mental health services – with greater choice and more control by the people who need support as to what care is available, where to get it and how it is delivered. It seeks to be more inclusive and to encourage people to stay well and active. “Living Well Teams” are made up of a range of partners providing different services that will bridge the gap between GP and community-based services and hospital-based and specialist services.
Macc is facilitating a process to invite Expressions of Interest from local VCSE organisations to host a number of roles as part of the wider, collaborative, Living Well team. We are looking for local VCSE organisations that are committed to improving mental health outcomes for people in Manchester. If you have a proven track record of delivering high-quality services and support to those with mental health needs, we would love to hear from you. This is a prototype of this way of working so our aim is to develop more opportunities like this in future and build a wider alliance of organisations.
Below is an information pack and a simple Expression of Interest form. If you wish your organisation to be considered as a host for one or more of the roles, please complete the form and submit to [email protected] no later than 5pm on Tuesday 20 June 2023.
A short online briefing hosted by Mike Wild (Macc), Simone Spray (42nd Street) and Ben Whalley (Gaddum) will be held on Friday 16th June, 3pm - 3:45pm for any organisation interested in finding out more.
