ACAS: Sexual harassment in the workplace - understanding the law

Date & Time of Training:
12 September, 2024 - 09:30 to 11:30
Venue:
Online

On 26 October 2024 the new Worker Protection (Amendment of Equality Act 2010) Act 2023 comes into force. This follows a government consultation in 2021, in which 54% of people indicated that they had experienced some form of harassment at work,

The Act introduces a new, positive legal obligation for employers to protect workers from sexual harassment.

Sexual harassment has a significant impact on employee mental health and wellbeing. It can lead to low morale, poor productivity, increased absence and resignation. It can also significantly impact the reputation of your business.

It is not only damaging for the individuals involved but can lead to costly employment tribunal claims.

This event is designed to help you engage with your workforce and to foster an environment where staff are treated with dignity and respect at work. It also provides you with the guidance to address a situation should one arise.
