The Caribbean and African Health Network (CAHN) Bereavement Service offers the Caribbean and African community living in Greater Manchester (GM) a culturally and religiously tailored support for those grieving or mourning the loss of loved ones. This would be at no costs to GM residents but at a fee to people living outside greater Manchester. CAHN will be taking referrals from their statutory partners and VCSE organisations.
Our Covid Voices wants to share with the world how those with long-term conditions, disabilities and other health and care needs are living during the pandemic in the UK. Our Covid Voices aims to be a first draft of history, with people across the country sharing their experiences of the UK under lockdown as they happen.

Healthy Hearts – Physical activity, nutrition and medication: Tuesdays, 1pm-2pm
Single Mothers Peer Support Group: Thursdays, 11am-12pm
Afrobeats and Reggae Bash: Fridays, 8pm-10pm
Health Hour: Saturdays, 11am-12pm

This report, from The Ubele Initiative, provides the results of two waves of surveys, which were conducted between 19-23 March (Wave 1) and between 27 March and 4 April (Wave 2).
Mental health charities from across Greater Manchester have teamed up to create a new campaign, Beelieve. The collaboration captures the spirit of Greater Manchester and will support individuals, families and communities who have been affected by Covid-19 both now and into the future.
Lord Greenhalgh, Communities Minister, has written to local authority chief executives to highlight that some members of Gypsy and Traveller communities are likely to be particularly vulnerable to COVID-19, and may need support in accessing basic facilities such as water, sanitation and waste disposal, to enable them to adhere to public health guidelines around self-isolation and social distancing during the outbreak.
Working with the University of Manchester the Greater Manchester Combined Authority have produced a guide to help older people in Greater Manchester keep well while at home.
