Climate workshop 2 – Climate, race and resilience: health in a warming world

Date & time: 25 November 2025, 10:00am - 11:30am
Venue
Online

Explore how climate change impacts health and wellbeing in Black and Global Majority communities.

What does our health and wellbeing look like in a warming world?

From the air we breathe and the food we eat, to the resilience of our homes and livelihoods in the face of storms, floods, and rising temperatures, our health is deeply connected to the health of our planet. The continued extraction and burning of fossil fuels are disrupting this natural balance and disproportionately harming Black and Global Majority communities, amplifying long-standing inequalities.

This workshop will explore the intersection of climate, race, and health, and how environmental degradation impacts both physical and mental wellbeing, particularly in communities where emotional health remains overlooked in policy and practice.

Join Voice4Change England (V4CE) for an insightful session that unpacks:

  • Racial disparities in air pollution exposure and health outcomes
  • Inequities in food access and environmental justice
  • The importance of mental health and emotional resilience in climate conversations
