This one-day training course provides an overview of the roles and responsibilities of safeguarding leads in charities in England.
By the end of the training, you'll understand:
- the role of the designated safeguarding lead and their relationship with other roles in charities
- statutory and multi-agency safeguarding mechanisms and the role of voluntary organisations within them
- the role of effective policies and procedures in building a positive safeguarding culture
- how to receive and manage safeguarding concerns, including confidentiality and data protection best practice
- effective signposting and referral processes, including responding to inaction
- how to keep yourself and others safe while managing and responding to harm.
