Northmoor Community Diner – October’s Menu

The idea is to create a welcoming space for anyone to take a seat, enjoy a freshly cooked meal, meet members of their community and find out what’s going on in the area. The Community Diner is taking place at Northmoor Community Centre, 95-97 Northmoor Road, Longsight, Manchester, M12 5RT, Wednesday s 12pm-2pm (takeawyas from 1pm).

‘You can tell it is a Community Explorers meeting by the noise’. Lots of conversations and networking is the one of the main reasons people attend these community health and care meetings. On Tuesday 19 September, there were 18 participants including Jobcentre Plus, Manchester Carers Forum and the North Manchester Black Health Forum.

Adactus have £9,000 left for the Miles Platting area in its BIG (Breathe Investment Grant) Scheme and they also have grants available to support projects throughout the areas where Adactus operates.  Breathe Investment Grants

Adactus have been supporting community groups for the last 8 years and are inviting Community Groups and projects to apply for a grant of up to £2,000.

Cuppa and a Chat Group - new dementia café

Do you have memory problems? Do you care for someone with dementia or want to know more about dementia? Come and join Dementia Support Advisors, Admiral Nurses and Alzheimer's Society for a cuppa and a chat.

The Cuppa and a Chat group is to be held every Friday 1-3pm starting 29 September 2017 at Chorlton Health Centre 1 Nicolas Road, Manchester, M21 9NJ.

It is essentially a dementia café which will be facilitated by Dementia Support Advisors, Admiral Nurses and Alzheimer’s Society Support Workers.

Community Development Initiative – Relationship Counselling
