Earthquake appeal from Northwest Turkish Community Association

As Northwest Turkish Community Association (NWTCA), with the contributions of Turkish Airlines, Consulate General of Manchester, Barta Logistics, Goss Outdoor and Gemak UK, are organising emergency appeal for turkey / syriaan aid campaign for our citizens in 10 affected cities after the 7.5 magnitude earthquake centered in Kahramanmaraş in Turkey yesterday morning.

Cycle and Stride for Active Lives

Cycle and Stride for Active Lives is an exciting initiative from Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) that supports community groups and people in Greater Manchester to become more active fundingthrough walking and cycling. Made possible by a £1 million grant from the London Marathon Charitable Trust, the three-year programme seeks to reach 10,000 people across communities that are least likely to be active or to walk or cycle their journeys.

A Warm Welcome: setting up a warm space in your community

Local communities have stepped up in many ways to support their neighbours through the cost of living crisis. This includes groups with warm spaces, or those who are able to provide furnishings, warm welcomeactivities, advice and support. Libraries and other local authority contacts are a useful first point of contact for these groups. Check out these resources to learn more on how to set up a Warm Space in your local community.

Supporting residents with the cost of living training

MAES know that many of residents are experiencing hardship and are impacted by the cost-of-living crisis. In your work with residents, you may deal with difficult and sensitive issues and meet digital inclusionpeople who need further support with the cost-of-living crisis. MAES would like to gauge interest in running their one-hour digital training session.

This one-hour digital training session will look at:
