NHS Charities Together Community Partnership Grants Programme Greater Manchester

Grants of £100,000 or more are available to projects which support the health and well-being of communities disproportionately affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

fundingIt is expected that the available funding of £1,247,490 will support a small number of large grants to focus on sustainable health outcomes, spread across the three programme themes: Mental Health, Tackling Health Inequalities and Hospital at Home.

Government emergency alerts / public warning system

You may be aware that the government are planning to send out an Emergency Alert test on the evening of 23 April 2023.

emergency alertEmergency Alerts is a UK government service that will warn you if there’s a danger to life nearby. In an emergency, mobile phones or tablets will receive an alert with advice about how to stay safe.

Supporting residents with the cost of living training for partners

Manchester Adult Education Service (MAES) are running training on how to support residents with the cost of living. Training sessions will run for 1 hour online. There is a fee of £200 for this training.

maes logoIf you work in the voluntary and community sector, or for a smaller organisation, MAES may be able to waive the fee as long as all participants complete a short course enrolment form and there are at least 8 participants.

Manchester VCS Dementia Alliance Grant Programme

Manchester City Council, working in partnership with the Manchester Dementia Steering Group, is seeking to establish a VCS Dementia Alliance. The Alliance will support development of the fundingManchester Dementia Strategy and explore new ways of delivering meaningful support to those living with dementia across Manchester’s communities.

TRANSforming Futures Fund

National Lottery Community Fund is supporting the five-year TRANSforming Futures project to provide solutions to the issues in healthcare and justice for transgender people across England.
fundingThe focus of the Fund is communities-led, grassroots organisations that are led by and for trans people. Broader LGBTQ+ organisations undertaking trans-specific activity that is being run by trans people will also be considered.
