Serious Violence Reduction Campaign – Parents and young person’s survey

surveyGreater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) and the Violence Reduction Unit (VRU) are launching a Greater Manchester-wide survey to help develop a new campaign for young people, to support them to achieve their aspirations and to not get involved in crime.

The campaign will be positive and will be developed with input from young people. It will also offer support to parents and carers to help young people get on well in life.

Youth and Play Sector Guidance – Update 1 December 2020

reportThe England-wide lockdown that was in place throughout November has now ended and has been replaced with a Tier System. The National Youth Agency (NYA) have done a full review of their guidance to reflect the latest advice from national government, working closely with Public Health England, the Health and Safety Executive  and Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS).

Manchester Nature Consortium – Youth panel opportunity for 12-17 year-olds

The Youth Panel will work alongside the Manchester Nature Consortium and the 6 current Youth Panel members to plan and deliver the 3rd annual Manchester Festival of Nature at Heaton Park.

UK Youth Fund – Covid relief

uk youthThe UK Youth Fund – Covid Relief has been created to support youth organisations who have not had access to the crisis funding they require to survive the Covid pandemic. Youth organisations with an income of under £250,000 that are based in, and deliver their work in England are eligible to apply for up to £50,000.

Complete an online questionnaire and the responses will be used as your funding application.

Lankelly Chase Spaces – Greater Manchester Local Fund

spaces GM fundLankelly Chase has a Greater Manchester Local Fund to engage groups and organisations led by marginalised women and marginalised young people. Funding will go primarily to communities of colour, but not exclusively.

£250,000 in total is available to support around 30 projects. Grants of up to £5,000 for smaller spaces and up to £8,000 for larger spaces are available.

BAME Millennials navigating space under lockdown

bame millennialsThe Ubele Initiative is looking for 12 BAME adults (18-30 year olds) to participate in a 4 month project to capture and share young BAME adults’ experiences of Covid-19 and associated lockdown responses.
