A brief exploration of the immigration and asylum system for people working in housing and homelessness in Greater Manchester.

In this training session, put on by the Restricted Eligibility Support Service, aimed at people working in housing and homelessness across Greater Manchester, will explore an introduction to the immigration system in the UK, how people can enter and seek leave to remain in the UK and the restrictions imposed. The session will also explore the asylum system, including why people seek protection in the UK and an outline of the asylum process.

In this training session, put on by the Restricted Eligibility Support Service, aimed at people working in housing and homelessness across Greater Manchester, will explore the asylum support system and why so many people are being made homeless after a recent grant of refugee status. The session will look into the role and responsibility of the local authority and who can access homelessness assistance.
