Are you passionate about improving mental health support for older people?
We are looking for someone to work alongside Greater Manchester Older People’s Network on an exciting new project to involve older people in the development of mental health services across for Greater Manchester. Funded by and working in partnership with the Greater Manchester Health and Social Care partnership, the network will make older people’s voices heard in the planning design and delivery of mental health support.
Working for a high-profile and well-respected charity which supports Manchester’s thriving VCSE sector, a great candidate will have a track record of connecting people and building a shared sense of purpose to create change. We are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting older people to get their voices heard and making a real difference to the way that people experience mental health services. We are looking for someone who is creative and with good understanding of community development approaches. A great collaborator and communicator, you will need to engage with a diverse range of people from all communities.
The role will be flexible with some office work from Macc’s base in Manchester City Centre and home working. Macc has a flexible working policy. For this post we are particularly encouraging applications from people aged 50+.
The role is funded for 12 months initially with an option to extend for a further year.
