Salford CVS is organising a series of focus groups on behalf of 10GM to better understand the needs of marginalised groups and their organisations before, during, and after civil contingencies such as floods, wildfires, and pandemics. The outcome of these focus groups will be twofold:
- A VCSEF sector toolkit to help organisations better integrate emergency preparedness into their work
- A toolkit for Local Resilience Forums to help them better understand and engage with communities of identity and their organisations
Salford CVS are hoping to get a good spread of organisations attending the focus groups from across the 10 boroughs of Greater Manchester:
- 22nd July, 10am-12pm: LGBT+ focus group
- 30th July, 1pm-3pm: Ethnic Minorities focus group
- 5th August, 1pm-3pm: Women's focus group
- 7th August, 1pm-3pm: Disabled peoples focus group
All the above focus groups will take place at Methodist Central Hall, Central Buildings, Oldham Street, Manchester M1 1JQ. All participants will be given a £25 voucher for their attendance.
