CHARM (Communities For Holistic Accessible Rights-based Mental Health) have been asked by the government to review ethnic disparities and inequality in the UK, focusing on the following 4 areas: education employment and enterprise health crime and policing.
CHARM are looking at outcomes across the whole population. There are ethnic disparities in educational attainment at school, in employment, in risk factors and outcomes for different health conditions, and within the criminal justice system.
To understand why such disparities exist, and what works and what does not, CHARM are inviting submissions of evidence to provide answers to 10 questions.
CHARM would like responses from:
- the public and local communities
- public, private and third sector organisations
- researchers and academics
- others who wish to share their views
