One Manchester Community Fund - Introducing the One Manchester Soup

This time round One Manchester are trying something new - the One Manchester Soup. Based on a project that’s had brilliant results in Detroit, One Manchester are inviting people and groups with creative ideas that make a real difference in their communities to pitch their ideas to a community audience. The audience will then decide on which projects should get what funding over a bowl of soup (or some other lovely food).

Invitation form the Big Lottery to help create an improved small grants service

The Big Lottery Fund launched their new Strategic Framework in April 2015, which is resulting in changes to how they work with organisations and communities. As part of their commitment to deliver on their promise of putting ‘people in the lead’, The Big Lottery have asked an organisation called EY Seren to work alongside them for a short period of time, with a view to helping to improve the small grants offer (currently Awards for All).

IAPT speed partnering event – 29 July

As part of the Mental Health Grants programme we are facilitating ‘speed dating’ style events where voluntary, community and social enterprises (VCSE) representatives can meet with IAPT provider representatives to explore the potential for partnership development.

This relates to aim two of the Mental Health Grants programme to: increase the take-up of Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) programme services among communities that finds them difficult to access.

Heritage Lottery Fund - Skills for the Future

The Skills for the Future programme helps organisations deliver paid training placements to meet skills shortages in the heritage sector and to help diversify the workforce.

The Skills for the Future programme is focused on creating paid, high quality opportunities for new entrants to the heritage sector, and helping to sustain the heritage sector in the longer term.

Grants range from £100,000-£750,000.
