Big Potential

Big Potential, a BIG Lottery Fund grant fund, will deliver approximately £20m of grant funding over 3 years to eligible VCSE organisations with the aim of improving the sustainability, capacity and scale of VCSE organisations in order that they may deliver greater social impact.

The programme aims to raise awareness of the social investment market and support VCSEs who want to prepare themselves for social investment or winning contracts.

Big Potential has two possible application routes - Breakthrough and Advanced.

Dream Fund 2016 is now open for applications

The Dream Fund gives organisations the chance to deliver the project they have always dreamed of, but never had the opportunity to bring to life. The Postcode Dream Trust are asking charitable organisations across Great Britain to think big, be ambitious and collaborate with other not-for-profit partners to deliver their dream project.

Dream Fund 2016 will offer a total award fund of £2 million for charitable organisations to deliver their ‘dream’ project in the areas of Scotland, England or Wales in 2016-2018.

Arcon Community Fund

The Arcon Community Fund has been launched to support projects and activities in the local areas where they have properties. Applications are welcomed from Arcon customers and local community organisations. The projects that will be supported must be of benefit to the local community and the beneficiary must agree to keep Arcon regularly informed as to how the project is progressing, and help with any publicity to promote the Community Fund.

Fourteen Awards for organisations in Harpurhey and Moston

Fourteen is a programme funded by Spirit of 2012, a charity set up by the Big Lottery Fund to connect events to communities across the country; tackling disadvantage by supporting opportunities in sport, physical activity, culture and the arts, volunteering and social action.

Forever Manchester is managing the Fourteen programme in Manchester, where it will support the communities of Harpurhey and Moston.

Applications open for Youth Social Action Fund

Organisations working with young people can apply for funding through the Youth Social Action Fund.

Organisations working with young people in lower socioeconomic areas in England can apply for funding through the new Youth Social Action Fund.

The Fund received £1 million from the Cabinet Office, as part of the government’s pledge to support Step Up To Serve’s #iwill campaign. The #iwill campaign aims to increase participation in youth social action (volunteering, fundraising and campaigning) by 50% by 2020.

Grants available for Inter Faith Week 2015

Inter Faith Youth Trust will be awarding small grants up to £500 for organisations running events or projects connected with Inter Faith Week 2015. This small grants programme is for events organised by and for young people focused around Inter Faith Week 15-21 November 2015.

Grants are awarded for proposals for inter-faith activities by children and young people from Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, Sikh and other faiths and those of no formal faith in understanding and co-operation. The age range for young people is 11-25 years.
