Eastlands Homes' Community Grant - apply now

Funding is available to support projects and activities operating in east and south-east Manchester. Applications are encouraged from all of Eastlands Homes' areas - Openshaw, Beswick, Clayton, Miles Platting, Ardwick, Levenshulme, Longsight, Rusholme and Gorton - but must benefit the local community in order to be considered.

Eastlands Homes is a not-for-profit organisation set up in 2003 that has grown to around 8,000 properties, largely due to two stock transfers from Manchester City Council.

ESF Community Learning Grants in the North West for 2014-2015

Grants of up to £13,500 are available to organisations in the North West who are running community projects that enable people to take that step further towards employment.

ESF Community Learning Grants not only fund the projects but also help to build the skills and capacity of the organisations that are running the projects, to ensure that the good work they are doing can continue well into the future. Our Place Programme

£4.3m package of support and grants for neighbourhoods has been made available by the Department for Communities and Local Government to support at least 100 neighbourhoods, with 20 driving proposals which break new ground.

What is Our Place?
Our Place aims to give people more power over local services and budgets in their neighbourhoods, aligning these with all the other resources that the community can bring.

Sport Relief Community Cash 2014

Sport Relief Community Cash is a grant scheme running across Greater Manchester of £100,000 with grants ranging from £500 to £1,000 available to small organisations that are working to help local people living tough lives in the city.

The grants are available to community organisations, registered charities, social enterprises, co-operatives, faith organisations and community interest companies. Groups which have been established for less than 12 months are eligible to apply.

Woodward Charitable Trust - Children's Summer Playscheme Grant 2014

Each year the trustees of the Woodward Charitable Trust set aside funds for summer playschemes for children between the ages of 5-16 years.

Grants can only be paid to registered charities.

Most grants awarded are in the range of £500 to £1,000. Around 35 grants are made each year.

Cash 4 Clubs 2014

Sport in the community is about local people, local facilities, local groups and organisations working together to provide opportunities to enjoy sport. Betfair and SportsAid recognise the importance of community sport, so Cash 4 Clubs has been set up to facilitate fundraising for community sports clubs throughout the country.

Cash 4 Clubs is a sports fund aiming to support grassroots sports clubs all over the country.

Heritage Lottery Fund - Parks for People

The Heritage Lottery Fund’s (HLF) Parks for People is for projects related to historic parks and cemeteries in the UK. You can apply for a grant from £100,000 to £5million.

Parks for people projects need to contribute towards the ten outcomes listed below.

Safe Giving Advice

The Manchester Kurdish Association have been working with Greater Manchester Police to promote "Safer Giving" message.

Charitable giving is important to all of us and can help improve people’s lives tremendously. However, sadly some organisations or individuals purport to collect for humanitarian causes but use donations to support organisations that support violent extremism.

The intention of the Safe Giving Advice is to ensure that residents in Greater Manchester are better informed and are therefore able to make safe decisions about charitable giving.

Healthy Heart Grants

Heart Research UK Healthy Heart Grants of up to £5,000 or £10,000 are available for new, original and innovative projects that actively promote heart health and help to prevent, or reduce, the risk of heart disease in specific groups or communities.

The funding opportunities are open to all groups. They are very keen to hear from any not-for-profit organisations, from small voluntary or grass-root development groups right through to charitable arms of sporting organisations.
