Comic Relief with Paul Hamlyn Foundation have launched the next round of their joint UK Tech for Good funding programme. The Tech for Good programme was developed in response to the need for charities to use technology to explore different approaches to delivering better services.
The Big Life Group are excited to announce the launch of the Manchester Social Prescribing Development Fund.
The aim of the fund is to support new and established groups and organisations to build capacity and deliver projects to support social prescribing to people over the age of 18. The fund will support people in improving or help with managing their health and wellbeing.
£300,000 is available for voluntary sector activity to support mental health and wellbeing and reduce social isolation in Manchester.

The Local Connections Fund is a new £4 million fund to help charities and community groups in England that are working to reduce loneliness by helping them build connections across their communities.
The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) and The National Lottery Community Fund are investing £2 million each.
From Spring 2021, The Fore is returning to its standard offer of grants of up to £30,000, which can be spread over up to 3 years. The Fore make unrestricted grants which have the potential to have a transformational impact on an organisation. Transformational impact includes helping an organisations become more sustainable, more efficient, to grow significantly or enabling an organisation to take a major step forward of some kind.
Applications for funding are invited from registered charities, CICs and voluntary organisations which work with disadvantaged people for any reason, sick, infirm or living in poverty within the Greater Manchester area.
The second round of the Culture Recovery Fund looks forward to next spring and early summer when it is expected that cultural organisations will be able to operate with fewer restrictions.
